Business Owner Success Stories, formerly The Gig ‘Zine, is a free newsletter about small business ownership and challenges. It was originally intended as a way to support contingent faculty, also referred to as adjuncts, as my team and I consider them small single-owner businesses. Contingent faculty don’t always see themselves as small business owners, so this was a way for me to bridge that gap.
The project also turned out to be hugely popular with non-adjuncts, so we decided to create a separate website, under its own management and it now resides at BusinessOwnerStories.com. The newsletter is now published 6 times a year and is chock full of useful information about many facets about small business from starting up, to finances and tech.I highly recommend you sign up for it (especially if you’re an adjunct):
